David F. Emmott M.D.

Having achieved Phi Beta Kappa honors while attaining an undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Emmott subsequently earned his M.D. from University of Oklahoma in 1975.  He then completed his residency in Urology at University of Kansas Medical Center in 1984.  He has been practicing urology in Kansas City for nearly thiry years.

Dr. Emmott has been certified by the American Board of urology since 1986.

Licensed to practice medicine in both Kansas and Missouri, he pioneered the da Vinci™ (Robotic) Prostatectomy in the Kansas City area. He has successfully performed over 1000 da Vinci™ Prostatectomies since December 2003. With a wealth of experience in robotics,  he was recognized by Ingram's magazine as one of Kansas City's Top Doctors in 2008 and was recently named Director of Robotic Surgery at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.  Dr. Emmott is also a specialist in male infertility with interest in microsurgical vasectomy reversal procedures.
