2016 Run/Walk Welcomes Singer Jimmy Charles

The 2016, ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk – Kansas City, one of thirty-eight (38) events, was held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Children’s Mercy Park, home of Sporting Kansas City. This year, marked the 8th Annual Event in Kansas City, sponsored by Kansas City Urology Care. This year we had over 400 participants, vendors, sponsors and volunteers. As a race city, we contributed over $65,000 to ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer.

Jimmy Charles

Kansas City Urology Care welcomed ZERO Spokesman, Jimmy Charles, Nashville recording artist and former American Idol contestant, to KC for his first trip to the City of Fountains. Jimmy penned the hit “Superman” in honor of prostate cancer patients and survivors. Jimmy performed “Superman” live at the race. Jimmy and his song have garnered both national and local media attention. He performed live at Run/Walks across the nation in 2015, and last September, CMT premiered the video for “Superman” worldwide. Click here to watch the video.
